 What is the weaving seminar?

The idea of these seminars is to create an yearly event where weavers can meet and further their knowledge. A full packed two days with new things to learn, support  in any way, chat with other weavers, being able to present your own ideas/work and at the same time have lots of fun. These days most workshops are available online or on zoom with tutors from all over the world, but I wanted to build something like a cosy hub where weavers can count on immediate support and inspiration.

The seminar includes a two day workshop during the days and several talks for the late afternoon, evening. It is set up in a quiet hideaway retreat in the west of Brisbane city. All participants should stay overnight. There are spacious single and double bedrooms. In between there is plenty of time to have a swim in the pool, or soak yourself in the spa, there are lots of hideaway places to get your peace and quiet if needed. There is time to chat and talk over a good meal or cup of tea/coffee. Start of the workshop is Tuesday or Friday morning. For a little extra cost there is the option of arriving the day before and staying an extra night. The house has to be vacated on Thursday or Sunday morning by 9am, for cleaning and preparing for the next seminar.

These seminars are organised by BB Yarn Supply, Brisbane. For more information send an email to sales@bbyarn.com
